Samhain is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or “darker half” of the year. This is about halfway between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice
All things are in balance for one moment and that on this day one’s fate for the coming year was sealed

Litha, a pagan holiday, (also known as Midsummer) occurs on the summer solstice, and celebrates the beginning of summer.

Selecting a Search Committee is the work of both the leadership and the entire congregation. Ministers are more likely to be interested in serving a congregation where the Search Committee is representative, trusted, in touch, and responsible to the entire congregation.
