Chuck and Becky Elston

When Becky and Chuck Elston joined UUFH, they decided together to make this church the focus of their volunteering. And what gifts of leadership, talent, inspiration, kindness, and laughter they’ve brought to us over the years!

Chuck chaired the Membership Committee before serving as UUFH President in 2014-15. His current responsibilities include Landscape Team co-chair, Concert Team co-chair, and member of the Interim Ministry Search Task Force, the Committee on Ministries and the Welcome and Security Teams. He also offers his professional skill as archivist for the Fellowship.

Currently a UUFH Board Member-at-Large, Becky has served on our Endowment, Finance, and Membership Committees. An experienced nurse, she helped provide medical emergency training for church staff and members. For years, she also supervised the bake sale portion of our annual crafts show fundraiser – and boosted profits with her renowned pies! As Coordinator for the Social Hour Team, she schedules the hosts of our after-church coffee hours and helps out, as needed.

And there’s more. If you drive by the church on Monday mornings, you’ll see this couple updating our sermon sign on Kanuga Road, after which they go inside to unload dishwashers, restock coffee hour supplies, tidy up Fellowship Hall and the kitchen, and resupply the restrooms’ paper towels, tissues, etc. So…when you can, drive by UUFH on Mondays and give this special couple a wave of thanks when you pass by!
