UU Fellowship of Hendersonville Call to Action Update June 24

Show Up, Speak Out, and Stay Engaged

At UUFH, we affirm that democracy is a practice, not just a principle. Through our shared commitment to justice, equity, and community, we are called to participate in shaping a more compassionate and democratic society.

Reminder: Please report your actions by updating this form. Tracking participation helps UUFH better understand our collective impact and celebrate the ways our congregation is living its values.

Here are several opportunities to put our values into action in the coming days, and starting this Friday…

  • Friday Action Hour –  June 26 | 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Zoom Join fellow advocates for this weekly opportunity to learn about current issues, connect with others, and take meaningful action together. Small actions, taken consistently, can make a significant difference.
  • The All Hands on Deck Community Action Fair – Sunday, June 28 | 1:00–3:00 PM | Historic Courthouse This important gathering has already been shared on our website, but it bears repeating: community participation matters. If you are able, please join others in standing up for democratic values, civic engagement, and a future that works for everyone. Every voice strengthens the chorus.
  • Fourth of July Parade & Declaration ReadingSaturday, July 4 – 10:30 Parade Downtown and 11:30 Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Historic Courthouse.

Please don’t Forget to Report Your Actions – Report your actions here!

Whether you attend an event, contact elected officials, volunteer, donate, or participate in advocacy efforts, please remember to submit your actions through the UUFH reporting form.

Tracking our collective engagement helps us celebrate our impact, identify areas for growth, and demonstrate the power of our congregation’s commitment to justice.
