Selma, Alabama: There are still a few seats available for the trip to Selma, Alabama on March 6-9. This trip, led by Debbie Roundtree, will include a stop at the Tuskegee Airmen National Park Service site and attendance at the annual Bloody Sunday commemoration at the Edmund Pettus Memorial Bridge in Selma. On the trip home, we will stop at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in Atlanta.
Hendersonville, North Carolina: For those who will be in Hendersonville, you are invited to join members of the NAACP on Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. The group will walk from Ashe Street and 7th Avenue toward downtown and then walk back to the starting point, about 1/2 mile total. No need to register in advance. If you wish, you can bring signs that speak to the remembrance of Selma and the Civil Rights struggle.
