Croning Ritual. Regina and friends mark the Crone stage of life. Here where grey hair meets wisdom, the Crone is revered for her knowledge and gifts to her community. Through time, the Crone has become a respected elder with stories and insights to help guide and nurture. Let us come together to celebrate our Wise Women.

Greetings! An announcement is given by Misty Mountains CUUPS. Our first annual croning rite will be held Sunday November 29th at 2:30pm. This rite is open to 13 women who identify as crones. In our young years, we are maidens. Carefree, fresh and new. Later we become Mothers in a literal or figurative way. We may birth babies. We may birth dreams and ideas. We may nurture children and people on our journey. And then. Then my dears . We become the crones. The women who are wise. The women who show their grey hair and wrinkles and all the battle wounds of life. Scars, radiation tattoos, thickened waist lines, furrowed brows, assisted walking, past childbearing or however you define Cronehood. My dears! These are marks of incredible strength! These are the marks of patience, resilience, true Goddess, and time. Our age has brought us wisdom, fortitude, and remarkable tenacity. And especially ferocity. So this will be a time to celebrate all we have accomplished. All we have endured. The wins. The losses. The regrets. The satisfaction of our Iives! Do you want to celebrate this milestone in your life? You can! Misty Mountain Covenant of UU Pagans wishes to honor and recognize you as the Wise Woman you are. We will invite in friends and family. All who wish to celebrate this remarkable time. We will cleanse and create a sacred space. We will adorn you in the vestiment of your choosing. You are invited to speak if you care to. Dress in whatever makes you feel good. Suggested adornments include necklaces, shawls, crowns or what ever makes you feel special. The rite will include music, walking a sacred spiral, chants, adornment, and celebration. This will be a true Pagan rite with incense (very light) and all matter of witchyness. You WILL BE transported but you will be, in the end, right back at home in your body. It will be dark, light, and meaningful. It will be emotional. Just so you know.
