Film Screening: The Ants & the Grasshopper

Join the Green Team after coffee hour to view “The Ants and the Grasshopper” an eye-opening documentary about climate change and what we can do about it.

You’re invited to join the Green Team on Sunday, April 12th, after coffee hour to view “The Ants and the Grasshopper, an eye-opening documentary about a farmer, Anita Chitaya, in Malawi, Africa, whose village has been damaged by the effects of climate change.

To save her home, Anita travels to America to meet farming communities and legislators, exchanging ideas amid a shifting landscape.

The film encourages us to shift from thinking individually to embracing long-term, collective solutions, following the lead of those on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Poor conservation techniques here are affecting the people in Malawi – all the way across the other side of the globe from the United States.

Anita confronts the farmers here in America by reminding them that the two lands, though far apart, are closely united in dust and blood.

We are all the same big ball of water, air, and soil.
