In February 2026, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville (UUFH) adopted “Defiance of Authoritarianism: A Call to Action,” affirming that democracy is a moral and spiritual responsibility, and we all have a role to play.

We’re invited to stand up for justice, equity, and human rights through: voter engagement, peaceful public witness, advocacy with elected officials, financial support for immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities, educational events, and partnerships with groups like UU Justice NC, Indivisible, League of Women Voters, NAACP, Common Cause, and the Poor People’s Campaign.

This is about putting our values into action with courage and love.
