Due to the federal shutdown and interruption in SNAP benefits, we are anticipating great need at our local food pantries. UUFH has a history of partnering with IAM, to meet this urgent need.
Please drop your donations at one of these two locations:
- The foyer in the UUFH main building, in the wagon provided, near the restroom.
- The church office, Mon, Tues, and Thursday 10-2. or call the office, 828-693-3157 for alternate arrangements.
Please shop wisely. On their website, IAM is asking for holiday-oriented food donations. You can review that list here. These items are appropriate throughout the holiday season, and we will be collecting for several weeks.
IAM needs volunteers also! Your presence can make a profound difference and not just in the tasks you do, but in the comfort and kindness you share. Here’s a list of all the various shifts that currently need to be filled.
