*Kids over the age of 12 are welcome to join the adults in the NIA Dance Class. Younger kids are invited to play and dance in the UU classrooms or outside with their parent’s supervision.

What is Nia?

Nia is a holistic mind-body fitness practice that blends dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. It’s a joyful alternative to the “no pain, no gain” culture, focusing instead on body awareness, pleasure and emotional expression. Movements can be modified to fit how your body feels.
