Mabon, and Stone Soup, and a Potluck – Oh My!

In the UU Family Ministry program, you are loved; your children are cherished, and our faith is love in action!

Stone Soup

About Family Ministry Learning Hour this Sunday, September 20th!

There is so much to look forward to for this Sunday!

What happens when everyone brings just a little something to the pot? Come find out during our Stone Soup lesson during Family Ministry learning hour this Sunday!

Families are invited to first gather in the sanctuary at 10:30 AM for a lesson about Mabon.

Then we will go downstairs to the Fellowship Hall for a fun, hands-on story about community, generosity, cooperation, and the magic that happens when we share what we have. Kids will help create our own Stone Soup together, with a little help from grown-ups along the way.

Want to contribute to the pot? Families are encouraged to bring a small amount of their own washed and chopped vegetables to add to our communal soup. Bring whatever you have on hand. Every little bit helps make the soup, and the community, richer!

Come ready to stir the pot, make new friends, and discover how each of us has something important to contribute to our community. Bring your family, your friends, and your appetite for connection… and soup!

Reminder: Learning Hour begins upstairs in the sanctuary with a lesson about Mabon followed by the Stone Soup Lesson downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and kitchen.

About the UU Potluck After the Service:

Following the Stone Soup lesson, folks are invited to stay for the congregation-wide potluck in the Fellowship Hall.

Please bring a dish according to where your last name falls in the alphabet:

A–H: Salad or side dish

I–P: Dessert

Q–Z: Main dish

As always, thank you for prioritizing your family’s spiritual health and mental well-being. At UUFH, you are loved; your children are cherished, and our faith is love in action!
