When I was seven, I heard piano music drifting out of my neighbor’s house and thought, “That, I want to do that.” After some not-so-subtle begging, my dad gifted me my very first piano lesson for my 8th birthday and just iike that, I was hooked.

Fast forward a few decades (and thousands of practice hours): I earned my Bachelors in Piano Performance from Mannes College of Music in New York and my Master’s from Fiorida State University. Then, in true musical adventurer fashion, I headed to Russia studying in both Moscow and Rostov-on-Don for two years. Let’s just say the Russian influence in my playing runs deep and dramatic.

I’ve been teaching piano for over 25 years, and honestly, I still think it’s the best job in the world. My studio is where technical skill meets musical curiosity, creativity, and just the right dose of humor. Because, yes, scales can be fun (especially when bribed with candy).

When I’m not teaching, I’m still exploring. I’m a lifelong learner, always on the hunt for new sounds and styles. Lately, I’ve fallen headfirst into the world of sacred solo music, a completely unexpected but beautiful chapter in my piano story.
