What We Believe
Our Mission
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville, an inclusive community of faith for all ages, gathers in covenant to:
Celebrate life in all its joy and mystery.
Inspire journeys of truth and meaning.
Engage in practice and service for love, justice and peace.
Our Vision
The UUFH vision is to be an inclusive and welcoming community, guided by love and reason, where individuals of all paths find purpose and connection, fostering a world of peace, dignity and respect for all.
Our Beliefs
At UUFH, our beliefs are diverse and inclusive. We have no shared creed.
We are united in our shared mission, principles, and living traditions.
We are united in our our shared experience: our open and stirring worship services, family and community ministry, religious education, and rites of passage.
We are united in our work for social justice, our quest to include the marginalized, and our expressions of love.
UU and…
Our members have more than one way of experiencing the world and understanding the sacred. We share and support each other in a “free and responsible search for truth and meaning.”
We are Unitarian Universalist and Christian, Jewish, Humanist, Pagan, Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu. We are atheist and agnostic, believers in God, and more.
We welcome and affirm interfaith families. Together, we create a force more powerful than one person or one belief system.
At UUFH, you can bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, your expansive heart. No need to check your background or beliefs at the door. Join us on a journey that honors everywhere we’ve been before.
