Sunday Service at the Fellowship 10:30 am – All Ages
Celebrating Mothers and other Caregivers
This Sunday is Mother’s Day, a day set aside to honor mothers, motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. The holiday began as a service to worship and
celebrate woman peace activists. The emphasis was sentiment, a time in which people
appreciated and honored their mother with handwritten letters expressing love and gratitude,
Around the world there became concern with an exclusive association of Mother’s Day with a biological definition of motherhood.
These days, we celebrate mothers and those who give us care as a mother would.
Today we will look at the words we used last week to describe caregivers and have some fun with them.
We will consider ways to show love and appreciation to these special people in our lives.
I’m looking forward to being with you in person this week!
We are meeting in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.
Weather permitting, we may go outside to get some wiggles out.
Covid protocols will be in place including masking and distancing, inside and out.
Youth Group
Ages 13-17 (Middle School to High School)
Biweekly Sunday nights
Planning for our May Youth Group meeting is continuing.
A reminder to please respond with available Sunday evenings this month. It would be wonderful to get as many teens together as we can – hopefully some who haven’t participated in a while because of this pandemic. The more who come, the more mixed up I may become remembering names and any trivia you want to confuse me with.
Some of you would like to meet in person, some via Zoom.
Let’s see what our technology experts can do! Including you, and me.
Masks are required.
If you or your caregiver has not already done so,
please email me at re@nulluufhnc.org to let me know which date works best for you, and if you prefer
to meet in person, using Zoom, or with another technology.
We will follow COVID protocols including distancing, masks, and cleaning. We will mask both indoors and outdoors to help care for one another.
I know that families may have concerns about being together in person and indoors. I welcome you to contact me, Margie Watters, Acting Family Ministry Coordinator, directly via email: re@nulluufhnc.org ( I usually take Mondays off and may not respond to emails.)
If you haven’t done so already its time to register your kids for the UUFH 2021-2022 program
