Flower Communion

Sunday May 29th

Flower Communion is a tradition started nearly 100 years ago,
by Rev. Norbert Capek, as a symbolic ritual that would bind people
more closely together.
We will be celebrating this ritual Sunday in our congregation

Celebrating Flower Communion is an excellent opportunity for us to express our commitment to our community and to the Sixth Principle
“We Covenant to Affirm and Promote the Goal of World Community with Peace, Liberty and Justice for All”

Given the events of the past week, the need for community becomes even more important.  We will come together this Sunday to not only to honor the community that we have built here but also to honor the larger community and to work toward a future that brings peace, liberty and justice to all, no matter their age.

Join us as we bring a flower and take a different flower.
No two flowers are alike, as no two people are alike, yet each has a contribution to make. Together the different flowers form a beautiful bouquet. Our common bouquet would not be the same without the unique addition of each individual flower, and thus it is with our church community, it would not be the same without each and every one of us.

Please bring a flower to add to our community bouquet and join us at 10:30

I know that families may have concerns about being together in person and indoors. I welcome you to contact me,  Vicki Benavides, Acting Family Ministry Coordinator, I can be reached by email at re@nulluufhnc.org
