Family Ministry

Sunday, September 18
Bubbles, Beads and Blossoms

Please join us upstairs in the sanctuary to hear Miss Maple’s Seeds read aloud during worship time. Kids are invited to sit with their parents or caregivers in the family seating section during the story before going downstairs for fun and games.

After kids enjoy the Story for All Ages read by Reverend Terry Davis, they will go outside (weather permitting) to enjoy playing with bubbles, beading prayer bracelets and planting cold-hardy flowers.  A healthy snack will be offered. Morgan and Elizabeth are offering childcare as Sunday continues to recuperate from Covid. Kudos to our volunteers and cheers to our returning visitors!

Big shout out of appreciation for our volunteers last week: Morgan, Ryan and Polly!
Way to go Volunteers! Polly played guitar for the youth as Morgan shared stories about growth mindset and tenacity!

It is with the help of volunteers like these that Family Ministry can offer opportunities for kids to feel loved and valued as they safely engage in learning the 7 principles.  Similarly, it is because of volunteers like these that parents and caregivers have peace of mind knowing that their kids are treasured, treated with dignity and safely supervised.

Welcome back visitors!
Five new kids have attended UUFH the last two weeks! We are thrilled to welcome them and hope their families join our congregation.

Quick Reminders:   UUFH Family Ministry is a community sponsor for and participating team in the Hunger Walk at Jackson Park in Hendersonville this Saturday, September 17. UUFH folks will start arriving around 7:45 at Shelter 1 in Jackson Park. Registration begins at 8AM, and the first to register will receive free t-shirts. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far you walk.  What’s important is that you’re showing up for a good cause! Unable to attend in person? No big deal! You can donate by mailing a check to Henderson County Hunger Coalition, PO Box 6151, Hendersonville NC 28793

Volunteers are still needed!

Please call the office and leave a message or send a quick note to re@nulluufhnc.org, so we know you’re interested and can arrange for a background check.

Willing to help? We need a volunteer in the nursery this coming weekend September 18.  If you can help on September 18 or if you’re interested in helping in the future, please email Sunday at re@nulluufhnc.org to confirm. Thanks!
