Let’s Celebrate Black History
UU Lessons for the Week:
- The Principles of Unitarian Universalism Review – what do we believe as Unitarian Universalists? We’ll review the principles of Unitarian Universalism together while in our chalice lighting circle.
- Words are Powerful – We’ll discuss which words we use to discuss race and agree on words that feel safe , show love and demonstrate inclusivity.
- The First UU Principle: We believe that each and every person is important. We will add to the table scrolls we made last week about the first principle, discuss ways to treat all people with dignity and then together decide how to display our scrolls and help each other live by them.
- The Second UU Principle: We believe that all people should be treated fairly and kindly. We will have another World Cafe style lesson, but the focus will be on the 2nd principle of fairness.
