Easter

Welcome back everyone! Did you all celebrate Easter last week with your families? Did you dye eggs and get a visit from the Easter bunny? This week I’m going to tell you the story of why we paint eggs at Easter and what, if anything, it has to do with Jesus. 

• Sunday Night Youth Group – 6pm – Ages 13-17

This week we are going to learn about the pagan side of Easter, or at least the not Christian side. Did you know that in the past there have been other women who have claimed that their child was the son of a God? Wow! It’s almost like there is a historical pattern that connects different religions together. Wink, wink. Join us this Sunday, as we learn about Ishtar and her son Tammuz, supposedly born of the moon and sun, and their influence on our modern day practice of Easter.
