This Sunday we will learn about the Jewish celebration of Passover. In the Torah, Passover celebrates the exodus of the children of Israel from Egyptian slavery – when God “passed over” the houses of the Israelites during the last of the 10 plagues. It is one of the most important and widely celebrated holidays of the Jewish calendar.

This week we will be continuing our discussion about monsters. We’ve read ancient legends and seen how small disagreements can quickly escalate turning friend into foe. So now we’ll learn about how stereotypes and alienation can lead to fear and vilification.
