 Shavuot

  • Sunday Morning Zoom
  • 10am – All Ages

This week we are going to learn about the often-overlooked Jewish festival – Shavuot. Shavuot is the second of three pilgrim festivals and it follows the Passover by 50 days. It is also known as the Festival of Weeks, or the Feast of the Harvest because it originally marked the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest. Shavuot also celebrates Moses’ return from the top of Mt Sinai with the two stone tablets containing the “Ten Commandments.” What are the 10 commandments? Why are they important? Join us on Sunday to find out and learn how Jews have celebrated this important occasion for thousands of years.

Jesus’ lost years.

  • Sunday Night Youth Group6pm – Ages 13-17

– Last week we needed to play games and catch up so this week we will be continuing our discussion of Jesus’ lost years. In the Bible, the stories of Jesus only cover his birth, a trip to the temple at the age of 12, and his ministry, death, and resurrection at the age of 33; but what happened in between? Join us this week as we fill in some of those blanks. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, I call it, What If? – Jesus Edition.
