 Thanksgiving

  • Sunday Morning Zoom
  • 10am – All Ages

Its almost Thanksgiving! We all know the story of what happened on that first Thanksgiving day in 1621… or do we? Did they really wear those hats with buckles? Did they eat turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce like many people do today? What prompted the native people to be so generous to these strangers and how did the newly arrived settlers repay the kindness?  Join us on Sunday to learn the full story of Thanksgiving, the one that lasted much longer than one afternoon.

  • Sunday Night Youth Group6pm – Ages 13-17

Join us at youth group tonight where were going to learn more about the native people who were so generous to the early settlers all those years ago at what we now call the first Thanksgiving. The Wampanoag tribe also known as the People of the First Light, has inhabited present day Massachusetts and Eastern Rhode Island for more than 12,000 years. And yet we know almost nothing about their history or culture. Why? Join us on Sunday where we’ll learn about the some of Americas first real settlers and what happened to them and their way of life.
