This week we are going to read a traditional folk tale from Africa. Folk tales or lore are traditional stories passed down through the oral tradition for generations that the people use to make sense of the world around them. Are these folk tales still relevant today with all of our scientific knowledge? Why are they still passed on, and what can we learn from them? Join us on Sunday to find out.

  • Sunday Night Youth Group6pm – Ages 13-17

What is the difference between a bible story, a historical event, and a folktale? Is one true and the other 2 false? Or is it possible that all share some kind of universal truth? The fourth Unitarian Universalist principle, in the kids edition, is Grow in your search for truth and meaning. An encouragement to continue learning and exploring the world, and it’s many histories and cultures. We are entering the time of year where many different religious festivals from different religions all compete for validity. But what if everyone agreed that they could all be true simultaneously? How would that change out world? Join us on Sunday to find out.
