Covenant with the Government

As I think everyone, even people who live under rocks, probably know its Election week. That includes your children. They know something big is happening and if we don’t address it they’ll use their stellar imaginations to come up with something way worse…probably involving aliens. So this Sunday we are going to talk about the Government and what our Covenant with them looks like and why its all so important.

• Sunday Night Youth Group – 6pm – Ages 13-17

The youth group will continue the election week fun by examining the American Constitution! What does it say, what does it mean and how has it evolved over the past 244 years. Similar to the Church Covenant we looked at a few weeks ago, the constitution was written with the best of intentions but that was almost 250 years ago. So, if you were going to rewrite the constitution today, what would you choose to write, and who would you choose to help you?
