• Sunday Morning Zoom – 10am – All Ages

This week, in honor of Indigenous People’s Day, we will be learning about what life was like in America before it was ‘discovered’ by Christopher Columbus in 1492. Who were the people who lived here before us? What food did they eat, language did they speak, religion did they practice? We will explore those any many more questions Sunday morning at 10.

In fourteen hundred and ninety-two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. A popular children’s rhyme I learned in history class. Only a few years ago we would be celebrating Christopher Columbus Day this coming Monday, but now it’s Indigenous Peoples Day. So, what happened? Come on Sunday to learn about Christopher Columbus and why we no longer celebrate his ‘discovery’ of America in 1942.
