August 19 – Fun at Bullington Gardens, Saturday at 10:30.
You are invited to enjoy a guided tour by UUFH’s own, Joe Robustelli. Tour will begin at the Dahlia Garden near the front parking lot. For more information about the gardens and driving directions, visit this link: https://www.bullingtongardens.org/
August 20 – Morgan Martin Volunteers to Guide the Kids in Yoga and Meditation.
Morgan (she/her) is a mother of two UU kiddos and works remotely for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Morgan is a current Divinity student at Loyola University Chicago and is finishing up her Trauma-informed Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher certification. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her family, and attending UU functions!
August 26 – Tubing with friends from UUFH and UUTC in Brevard
Meet up planned for 10am at Dolly’s Ice Cream at the entrance to Pisgah National Forest to rent the tubes ($8/tube and CASH ONLY). Address is 128 Pisgah Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. We can then drive up to drop a car(s) at Sycamore Flats picnic area, and then go up to the bridge going into Davidson River Campground to put in.
September 10 – Blessing of the Backpacks
UUFH Students of any age are invited to bring their backpacks and book bags to service to receive a special blessing.
September 10 – Official beginning of Family Ministry Religious Education Classes.
