Getting to Know Our New UUs – Welcome!

UUFH member,  Sharon Latz

Sharon was introduced to the Unitarian Fellowship in New York State at age 10 when her family joined in the early 1960s. It left her with fond memories of friendship and learning experiences that helped her understand the importance of having an open mind and heart. Though Sharon has not been a steady Fellowship member through the years, the lessons taught have stayed with her.

They helped to broaden her worldly views regarding the acceptance of and respect for individuality and for the diversity in cultures and religions that comprise this world.

Sharon has resided in Henderson County since 2004. Life and career have kept her quite busy.  Recently, the time finally came for her to circle back to the Fellowship and, perhaps, share some of her lessons and knowledge gained in the years gone by.   Sharon is an environmental professional with a BS degree in geology and environmental science (Ohio University). She has worked as an environmental consultant for the past 30-plus years, and is thrilled that the UUFH is involved with environmental issues. It is Sharon’s hope to become a viable member of the UUFH family, which will hopefully include assistance in the promotion of good stewardship for our planet that all creatures, big and small, call home.
