Caja solidaria is a produce buying club with a purpose.  We are in solidarity with initiatives led by Latinx folks in Henderson County, with local small growers, and with eaters. 

You buy a share in a club and $4 of your payment goes to the Abundancia Community Food Bank or the development of an agricultural cooperative led by people of color.  With the rest we purchase wholesale fruits, vegetables, and eggs and split it up among 18 shares. Each share is 1/2 bushel basket of produce.  Sometimes folks from our community of friends share food with us to add and we have extras like amazing pupusas (national dish of El Salvador) as well. 

Caja means box in Spanish….so purchasing a box is being in solidarity with our Latinx community by giving them a place at the economic table.

Balanced shares focus on favorite local foods first and are $24.  Organic shares are all produce, certified organic or from a local grower using organic practices and are $32. Food lists change weekly. 

You can subscribe or sign up only on the weeks you want to. Pick up is at 616 Crystal Dr, Hendersonville, NC 28791.
