Nora’s Musings:

Hello families and friends!

Spring is once again on the horizon (yay!) and in Hendersonville that means beautiful trees, Floridian snowbirds,  and the arrival of migrant laborers to plant and harvest the farms. Many of these migrant workers come with their families and carry few possessions. They rely on church and community donations for even basic supplies. Every year UUFH teams up with our neighbor churches to collect and distribute supplies.  This year is no different – we are once again coming to you, their community, for help. Below is the list of requested items. All donations can be left at the UUFH office (in the blue bin on the front porch.) Donations will be collected until May 15th.

If you have any questions please contact Ann Backer at acbacker@nullcopper.net or call (828) 697 0641.  Requested Items:

  • Toothbrushes (mostly adult but some children’s are needed)
  • Toothpaste,
  • Bar soap wrapped,
  • Bandanas,
  • Protein bars or breakfast bars,
  • cloth bags with a drawstring (at least 11” x 15”).
