Good news!
UUFH is once again back inside our beautiful Sanctuary, worshipping in person. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated, to wear face coverings, and to practice social distancing while inside. To top it all off, Colby Landers has our new audio/visual (A/V) system up and operating. For those who missed Paul Shoemaker’s service last month, with all the special A/V effects, let me say, everyone was impressed. We even had some skeptics comment that they were amazed and did not realize the potential of the new system. If you haven’t seen the system in operation, you should come by one Sunday and check it out. Be sure to thank Colby for all his hard work.
We are in the middle of the holiday season and I look forward to sharing this time with my UU friends. This year, we didn’t get to share Thanksgiving dinner at UUFH as we have done in the past; my hope is we will be able to gather again next year. I can’t think of a better family to share this time and meal with than our special UUFH family. Keep hoping!
For those tracking the progress of the Settled Minister Search Committee, (SMSC) they have assembled the Congregational Record (CR) and submitted it to the UU Transition office, receiving rave reviews. The CR is roughly 39 pages long and, as of December 1st, was available to potential candidates. The candidates will review our CR and, on January 1, 2022, let the SMSC know if they are interested in UUFH. What a way to start 2022!
Wanda will be sending a link soon to all UUFH members and friends so they can also view the CR.
This is my last message for 2021. Look for them quarterly in 2022.
