RACIAL JUSTICE FORUM

This series is resuming on the 4th Monday of each month starting January 24, 2022, 1-2:30pm. via ZOOM.

Helen Bishop will lead us in a discussion of Claudia Rankine’s book, “Just Us, An American Conversation”.  For more information and to join our bulk book purchase, contact Judy Bonner.

Claudia Rankine is a Black writer who has combined essays, photographs, poetry, and other art forms to address issues of racism, white supremacy, and the question, “How do we manage not to know?” The issues include bleaching of hair and skin, language, policies and legislation, among others. In this collection, she works to educate, influence, and be honest, as whites have been asked to do. Rankine provides essential resources and tools. Her book is available in electronic and paperback formats; we have copies available; or you can request the book from the public library.

Contact Charlotte Corrigan for the Zoom link for this discussion.

We can continue on the following Monday 1/31, if people wish to do so.
