Hello UU Fellowship of Hendersonville!

You may have heard a rumor that Betsy and I have arrived in Hendo, and I’m here to confirm this is true. We and our fur babies Waldo and Tilly are nestling into our new home near Laurel Park. I’m still unpacking my ministerial library and getting settled in,but I’m delighted to finally, at long last, be on the ground here as your full-time settled minister. For those of you I’ve seen already, thank you for the warm welcome. For those of you I’ve not yet seen, I look forward to greeting you soon.

I begin preaching on Sunday, Sept. 8, with our Water Communion service. Be sure to collect your waters and bring a small amount to share.

For August, I attended the service on Aug. 4 and plan to be there again Aug. 18 and Sept. 1.

My core office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and other times by appointment. Wednesdays are my writing days when I will not reply to emails and phone calls, except for emergencies. My weekend will normally be Fridays and Saturdays, though that will occasionally be flexible if there’s a church event that requires my presence. My email is revgeorge@nulluufhnc.org. Thank you for the faith you have placed in me, for your hope surrounding a shared future ministry, and for the love that you demonstrate for this community. Thanks to your fierce commitment to love and justice, and to your sound stewardship of resources, we have a sturdy foundation to build on. Together we will grow into a multigenerational spiritual community that will nurture our spirits and build bridges in our community.

It will be my joy to get to know each of you and to hear your joys, your concerns, and your feedback. My door and my heart are always open. I’ll see you soon.
