Rev. Michael Carter, guest speaker
I want to invite us to reflect on the spirituality of the ordinary. Everyday spirituality has a long and rich history. It is practiced in many religious traditions and among those who identify themselves as ” spiritual but not religious.” But what is it really? It’s not the spirituality that many of us grew up with. To my mind, it is the mindfulness of appreciating the beauty of the mundane, ordinary events of everyday life. Let’s explore.
Rev. Michael JS Carter is a board certified chaplain (retired) and an anti-racism/diversity consultant. He currently serves as the minister of the UU Congregation of the Swanannoa Valley in Black Mountain.
This is a homecoming of sorts for Michael. Most of us already know him well as a former member of our Fellowship
