Crystal Cauley presents a performing arts event. Inspired by the famous Langston Hughes poem, “Mother to Son”, Cauley intends to use spoken word poetry, singing, and interpretive dance for this program. This program also pays tribute to the Black women in America that have endured hardships since the Transatlantic Slave Trade. This performing art event will have a sign language interpreter making it even more inclusive!
Crystal Cauley, is a native of Henderson County, NC, community and cultural event planner and creative writer to name a few hats she wears. Crystal was recently nominated for the Athena Leadership Award of Henderson County. Crystal has 2 children, Tyrese Cauley, 22 and Tiara (TT) Channer,13 years old. In 2019, Crystal created Black History Collective of Henderson County, NC. This business venture has had a mission to preserve local African American history with art, exhibits, dance and spoken word poetry.
