“Giving the Gift of Worth and Dignity”

For the past ten years, this congregation (UUFH) has sponsored and coordinated the Henderson County DREAM Scholarship, which provides educational support to local undocumented youth to attend college and pursue their dreams. Our first principle affirms and promotes the inherent worth and dignity of every person. In addition to the obvious financial support, this program has impacted the lives of recipients by giving them a chance to explore their dreams, to discover what is important to them, to come to know themselves. Our contributions to the DREAM Scholarship are a profound experience of us living into our first principle and then honoring that principle in the lives of recipients. Please join us as we explore the history and impact of our ten year commitment and hear from a current DREAM Scholarship recipient.
