  Greetings, from the Settled Minister Search Committee 

  We want to offer you all some additional information and clarification. 
As you may know, we have submitted our request to be part of the second round of searching
We reviewed our Congregational Record and updated it accordingly.
The candidates that indicate interest will all be new to us –these are not candidates who we interviewed in January. 
Some reasons that these ministers might be in the second round are: 
1) In the last 6 months, their life circumstances changed
2) They changed their plans/focus after the first round of candidating
3) Who knows?
There are many reasons and these candidates should not be thought of as any less desirable than those from the first round. Thus, we continue to hope that we receive some promising candidates.


Here is the timeline for the second round.
As you can see, things move more quickly for this round. 
We will continue to keep you updated as we continue on in this process.

If No Match Occurs by First Offer Date: The Second Offer Date

  • Board and search committee decide to prepare for 2nd offer by April 8, 2022
  • Ministers may apply to congregations preparing for 2nd offer April 11, 2022
  • Search committees receive applicant names for 2nd offer April 15, 2022
  • Last day for ministers to submit interest April 23, 2022
  • Interviews and reference checks, mid to late April 2022
  • Pre-candidating weekend , late April-May 2022
  • Candidating weekend Late May-June 2022
