  Greetings, from the Settled Minister Search Committee 

We’re BAAAAACK!!

Last year, we worked hard to find a new Settled Minister for UUFH.  The process as laid out by the UUA is a detailed, thorough process designed to help us explore who we are as a congregation, what our needs and dreams are, and who we might want for a minister.  The journey was interesting and illuminating.  An impressive number or you engaged in the process, filling out the survey, sharing focus groups and attending the Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop.  Any time we requested feedback, we got exactly what we needed. 
The support and trust from the congregation was incredible.

However, the search did not end in finding a new Settled Minister. 
The feedback we have gotten from the UUA is that it was a strange year, coming off of the worst of COVID, many aspects of the search process were different for both churches and ministers in search.

This year promises to be more hopeful. 
All five of your team members signed up to go through the process again.  But now we already know the process and it is not necessary for us to delve quite so deeply.  But, we STILL want your input and engagement!!

We have chosen not to complete another congregational survey.  We found that the most helpful information was gleaned from the focus groups, so that’s where we’ll start. 
Two groups will be held in person, and two will be held over Zoom.

 We STRONGLY encourage new members to participate.  But we welcome and encourage all members to attend.  If we get an overwhelming response, we will add more groups. 
We are coordinating the dates, and will let you know when they are set and how to sign up.

For now, please consider whether you have some new thoughts about who we are as UUFH, our concerns, our goals, and what skills, strengths, and talents you would like to see in a new Settled Minister.
