Meg Hoke – Communications

Greetings, from the Settled Minister Search Committee

Again,  a brief update

The Settled Minister Search Committee is continuing on through the process as laid out by the UUA.
We have completed the initial interviews and conducting initial reference interviews before moving into the “Pre-Candidating” stage.

The Pre-Candidating weekends are when ministers come to the congregation’s town, meet with the Search Committee for in person interviews, gain familiarity with the area, and serve as the guest minister at the pulpit of another congregation.
The UUA does not recommend that anyone, but the members of the Search Committee participate in this weekend.
This is an exciting process, but it must continue to be confidential at this stage in fairness to the ministerial candidates.

We are sure that you are eager to hear more, and we promise to share more as soon as it is appropriate to do so.

Here is the timeline as set out by the UUA:
February 1 – March 24th carry out Pre-Candidating Weekends and interview Developed References
(these are the second round of reference interviews)
March 28 – Send decision list to Transition Office
March 31 – Offer Date

Should an offer be made and accepted,
the process then moves into Phase 6: Finalizing the Offer,
which we will explain should we get to that point.

We are grateful for your support and trust during this process.
Sincerely,
Your Settled Minister Search Committee
