UUFH OUTREACH COLLECTION: YOUTH HUNGER
On Sunday, November 6 your UUFH Social Justice Team begins a new Outreach Collection with a collection for Youth Hunger. The sermon for Sunday is “How the Other Half Eats” by Rev. Terry Davis.
In this time of year when we celebrate our blessings, food insecurity remains a significant issue for many in our community. We all recognize that hungry children struggle to learn and to develop social skills. Not the futures we would wish for any of them.
Providing additional nutritious meals and snacks is the goal of both Collection recipients: our Youth Hunger Collection is split between the Feed the Kids Coalition and the Flat Rock Backpack Program.
Your donations have provided funding for these 2 organizations each year for more than a decade. The 11/06 Sunday collection will be dedicated to Youth Hunger. Donations may also be made by check to UUFH (write “Outreach-Youth Hunger” in the memo line) or on your UUFH website account. The Collection ends in 4 weeks on November 27.

Let’s UU the Vote!
Voting is in full swing and across our state and country we are already seeing huge voter turnout! But there is much more work to be done! In these final days, we need everyone in the game, phone banking text banking, canvassing and contributing to safety and fairness at the polls.
The future of abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, climate justice, and our democracy in on the line.
Beloveds, we were made for this moment. Let’s get out there and UU the Vote!
