UUFH OUTREACH COLLECTIONS:
DREAM SCHOLARSHIP COLLECTION – begins February 12th
The Social Justice Team will present a guest speaker this Sunday, February 12 to begin our Outreach Collection for the Dream Scholarships. This effort continues through March 1. In the 10 plus years since its founding at UUFH, donations in our community have funded scholarships for approximately 50 college students brought to the US as children. These Dreamers are qualified through a rigorous process and may receive up to $2500/year towards their continuing education.
To ensure that your donation is correctly credited:
[1] you can put your cash donation in the
Sunday plate – any cash donation must be labeled for the Outreach Collection),
[2] you can donate by check through March 1 – please put Outreach Collection in the memo line, or
[3] you can donate online through March 1 at the UUFH website – select “Outreach Fund”.
Let’s make this another stellar Outreach Collection.

FRIDAY ACTION HOUR
Every Friday at 11:00am UUs from across the state gather to recap the past week and take action on the issues impacting our state and country. In the coming month, we’ll be focusing on the upcoming municipal elections and will also keep the pressure on our elected officials to better promote the HOPE program. We always have good music to help us feel the justice movement in our bones! Join us via this Zoom link.

Fundraiser for Feed the Kids Coalition – February 21
Join Feed the Kids coalition volunteers – including those from UUFH – in support of this
community-wide fundraiser for Feed the Kids on :Fat Tuesday”.
Side with Love’s annual month of spiritual nourishment, political grounding, and shared practices of faith and justice, 30 DAYS OF LOVE will go from Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 16) through Valentine’s Day (February 14).
This year’s 30 Days of Love is a love letter to our whole beloved community – families, religious professionals, partners and communities that embody our values and work for justice and liberation year round. Each week will feature a spiritual theme overlapping with one of Side With Love’s intersectional justice priorities, and we’ll share an array of offerings to help nourish your spirit and give gratitude and affirmation.
