Given this will be our last service for a bit, Don has changed this Sunday’s topic to talk about fear, unity and resilience.
Reaching across generations is an often complicated process, and yet almost always worth the effort. Drawing from a series of old-school letters Don shared with his grandmother before her passing, he’ll encourage us to keep reaching.
The theology series will wrap up with a survey of humanism’s history, within and without liberal religion. Don will make the case for a new age in humanism, and why it matters.
Don will describe UU Christianity, past and present, as one of the centerpieces of liberal religious theology and practice.
Some of the world’s greatest artists have suffered some of the world’s most profound hardships. As we mark Black History Month, Don will lead us in a look at the life, talent and heartaches of African American jazz singer, Billie Holiday.
As Don leads us in a survey of some of the theological roots and branches of UUism, he’ll begin a three-part series with mystical and earth-centered traditions.
We’ll mark MLK Day 2020 with a recorded speech of the late
Benjamin Hooks, civil rights activist, minister, attorney and ally in King’s work.
We know that many folks struggle with the shorter days of winter, even this side of the winter solstice. As we begin the new year, Don will lead us in a look at SAD’s spiritual side.
Join Katherine and Don as we revisit some UUFH traditions, and share in some new (to us) stories and songs. This is a multi-generational service. Childcare will be available downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
