Oktoberfest Auction Update – August 6

Our Oktoberfest Auction stands as the largest fundraiser for our Fellowship’s operating budget. It’s also a cherished tradition where we come together to enjoy meals, parties, learning experiences, and to share our skills and talents. These activities not only bring us communal joy but also foster creativity and strengthen our community.

The auction features a diverse array of items, categorized into two types: bidding and signups. For items available through bidding, each has a minimum bid, and participants place higher bids to outdo the previous one. For signup items, a specified price secures a spot at the event or experience.

Donations:

If you’re contemplating what to donate or looking for fresh ideas, consider these popular choices. The most sought-after items often include events, dinners, and parties tailored for various ages and interests. Examples include family barbecues, themed dinner parties, baking or suncatcher classes, tastings (wine, chocolate), workshops (ikebana), nature walks, concerts, and engaging events like trivia nights or Wordle parties. These experiences are vital to our Fellowship’s social calendar and offer wonderful opportunities to connect with both old friends and new acquaintances.

Other appealing options include handmade art and craft items, gift certificates, and delectable treats. Remember, the value of these items isn’t just in their material worth but in the experiences and joy they bring.
