Rev. Terry Davis
Differently-abled persons – whether their differences are physical or neuro – are often overlooked in a society that centers ableism. How does systemic ableism show up in our communities? How might we, in the words of Dr. Rhoda Olkin, author of Could You Hold the Door for Me? “include disability in diversity” and embrace the opportunity to do so?
March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness month. Today’s sermon will explore the broader topic of creating a world that celebrates differently-abled persons and invite us to action, starting at UUFH.
