Even though we tend to focus on it as if it were a fragile dualism or threshold between either whole or broken; wholeness is not one or the other, but a more robust, resilient wholeness within wholeness to be recovered, re-imagined and reformed over and over again.
Parker Palmer reminds us that wholeness is about both darkness and light. For our lives to be lived in right relationship we must, he says, embrace not only our strengths and virtues, but also our liabilities and limits.
Universalism holds up the good intent at the heart of the universe. As we live in to it, we make it so.
