APRIL OUTREACH COLLECTION – FINAL SUNDAY!
Our APRIL OUTREACH COLLECTION launched SUNDAY, April 7, 2024 in support of the UUFH Exploring Diversity through Literature Fund. This Collection ends April 30.
This UUFH project, Exploring Diversity through Literature Fund, donates books that feature the many cultures, distinct traditions and realities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to local schools and other institutions.
This project nurtures the potential of children in Henderson County by providing literature that reflects and honors their lives and experiences. We believe that our community will be enhanced by helping children appreciate themselves and others. Visit our website at: https://uufhnc.org/justice/exploring-diversity-through-literature/
If you would like your offering to go to this program, please write “Exploring Diversity through Literature” in the memo line of your check. Or, if you are giving cash, please use an envelope (provided in the Foyer), write your name on it, and mark it “Exploring Diversity through Literature”. You may also contribute through your Vanco account via the UUFH website. Click “Donate” at the top of the website home page and select “Outreach Fund.” Thank you for your generosity.

UU the Vote Launch: RECORDING & SLIDE SHOW links
Over 700 folks joined our UU THE VOTE 2024 LAUNCH. Thank you. Check out the slide show and recording of the launch below. We are joining State Action Networks and local and national partner organizations – and it will require more of us. As Rev. Lisa Garcia-Sampson with UU Justice NC reminded us, “It is time to go deeper. For most of us, postcarding should only be the appetizer before the meal. This year our moral legacy is on the line. And if we can go further than postcarding, we have a moral responsibility to do so.” *JOIN UU the VOTE 2024 *Start by downloading our 2024 UU THE VOTE LAUNCH GUIDE. *You can find the full RECORDING and SLIDES of our launch here. UUFH has a strong history of involvement in the UU the Vote Campaigns in 2020 and 2022. But we need your help – this requires many hands not just the SJT members. Kitten Bulen, who led past UUFH campaign efforts. is seeking one or two people to take over leadership under her guidance. |
Your SJT is making plans with partners such as the Henderson County League of Women Voters and You Can Vote.
Public Registration opens soon. SAVE the DATE!
