My husband, Alan, and I decided it made sense to someday retire near our family in WNC. In late 2019, I retired as a Principal Ecologist from an environmental company in Gainesville, Florida. Shortly thereafter, I was invited to help with my grandsons’ virtual schooling during the pandemic. 

We fell in love with the scenery, the
active regenerative ag scene, the schools, and the UU. One of our criteria for relocation was a UU congregation, and this one has been more of a loving community than we ever dreamt of finding.
