Wayside Pulpit Sign Honors Rep. John Lewis and C.T. Vivian

Wayside Pulpit

Make sure you take a drive by UUFH to see our wayside pulpit sign. We are honoring two civil rights heroes who passed away last week.

Rep. John Lewis was a civil rights leader and served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 to his death. He was the youngest of the “Big Six” leaders who organized the March of Washington in 1963.

C.T. Vivian was a minister, author and close friend and lieutenant for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He was also the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
