 Greetings, from the Settled Minister Search Committee 2023-24

Your Settled Minister Search Committee wanted to give you an update on the search process.

You may recall from previous updates that January 2nd was a big date for us.  It was when potential candidates let us know they are interested in our Fellowship.  Well, the good news is there are candidates interested in UUFH!

Your Search Committee will spend this month reviewing references, conducting Zoom interviews and deciding which candidates to invite for pre-candidating weekends which run from early February thru the end of March.  Pre-candidating weekends are when a candidate is brought to Hendersonville to tour our facility and area, participate in face-to-face interviews and perform a sermon at another facility attended by all committee members.  Through the survey, cottage meetings and focus groups, you have told the search committee what characteristics you would like in our new minister and we’ll be looking for those characteristics through the interview process.   We would like to remind you the ‘perfect candidate’ does not exist.  The committee is working hard to find the right candidate to lead our Fellowship forward and into the future.  If there is such a candidate, an offer will be made at the end of March.
