SJOT members Judy Lutzenberger, Barbara Yates and Jan Partin and UUFH member John Owens presented proposals to the congregation at the Sunday, December 1 service and Congregational Conversations session.

These will be repeated at another Conversations session on January 5. The four proposals now under consideration are Gun Violence Prevention Campaign, Zero Waste Campaign, Saving the Rainforest – Saving Ourselves, and Climate Justice Campaign. We need your feedback and input; additional proposals are welcome.

Rev. Don Rollins has worked with Social Justice members for several months on the Gardiner Model for congregational involvement in Social Justice efforts. One feature of the model is the selection of a single project for congregation-wide participation. Members will have an opportunity to vote on their project of choice for subsequent ratification at a Congregational Meeting.
