The “Becoming a Justice Making Congregation” workshop was hosted on Saturday, June 1 by UUFH & SJOT. Forty-five attendees from Western NC UU congregations as far away as Greensboro and from Greenville, SC participated in this workshop presented by Rev. John Saxon, Director, UU Justice Ministry of North Carolina (UUJMNC). This workshop was presented earlier this Spring in Durham and New Bern and we had more attendees than those two sessions combined. In addition to the presentations, we had opportunities to share ideas with our fellow Social Justice leaders. UUFH SJOT members will be using the material to inform future approaches and activities. Workshop costs were covered by UUJMNC.
