On October 5, the Roman Catholic patron saint of ecology and animals, Francis of Assisi, is remembered and honored. As a faith community that is committed to respect the interdependent web of all existence, we’ll have our own celebration UU-style with a “Blessing of the Animals” service. Bring your well-behaved dog, cat or other loved critter to worship for barks, meows, squeaks, and a reminder that our furry, feathered and finned friends are among our greatest spiritual teachers.
