Treasurer’s Report – Sept.2020

After running deficits in July and August, we turned things around in September and ran a small surplus, mostly due to higher-than-usual contributions in fulfillment of pledges. Income from the Endowment and Building Funds remains steady. This is important, because the Board has voted to use some income from the Building Fund to help balance the budget and, although there most likely will be no large expenses qualifying for Endowment Income support this fiscal year, next fiscal year, when we have extra expenses related to finding a settled minister, it will be nice to have a large cushion in the Endowment Income Fund to cover some of those expenses. We look to be in pretty good fiscal shape right now but, given the pandemic, hard to say if that will continue.
